I have a xoom wifi, unrooted, that was updated to 4.1.2. I never had any problems with it until a week ago. I frequently use the speaker dock, and noticed it was acting strange when I would dock it. It seemed to be having trouble with the auto clock mode and was very glitchy; widgets would not load and it seemed over tasked.
I put it into its case and did not use it for 4-5 days. When I went to use it it seemed dead. I held the power button and nothing happened. I attempted the reset (power + volume up) and nothing as well. It always gets excellent standby time so I could not imagine it drained. I plugged in the stock power cord this time and attempted to power it on. Still nothing. By now I am frustrated, my 5 year old is chewing on my ears, and I try to once again reset without giving it any time to charge. Finally, it wakes, I place it on the dock and go do something else. 2 hours later its still in the boot animation. I tried everything I could think of.
Here is where I am at:
1.I have downloaded your wifi fastboot zip and placed the files in C:\Xoom.
2.I have installed latest drivers version 4.2.3.
3.Device manger showed xoom without yellow exclamation until I clicked on it.
4.Now when I plug in stock usb cable it will only show without exclamtion if Xoom is in Loading Fastboot state or RSD. It installs different for each. I have never installed it as either btw.
5.I tried your .bat file and cannot get passed device recognized. It cant see it. Device manger has it installed without exclamation, but not as a xoom.

Thank you in advance.

Big thanks OutOfPhase for this.
This helped me restore my Xoom to pre-ICS version.
One addition. My xoom was locked like some of the others and the xoom_restore.bat failed. So I manually ran
fastboot OEM unlock
This allowed xoom_restore.bat to run to completion.
Now I'm not sure but I also allowed the 1st software update HLK75F to get 4G support.
It could have been pulling the sim card and re-inserting that triggered the 4G reactivation.

Anyway my Xoom is much faster now without ICS.

Does anyone no if there is a way to permanently reject Android updates, so I won't get prompted continually?

Hello. I am running into some issues. I would love to get some help here. I have a Xoom with LTE from Verizon. It was rooted ( I didn't do it) I am trying to return all the way to stock. Every time I lock the boot loader it doesn't want to boot all the way it says it's in red mode 2 then I try with the rsd program to push a sbf file and it gets stuck at 37 percent
