How do you reverse tether with this phone

Ok, so Ive all most got it on my own but still need help. I installed android revers tether tool and fake wii fii hack.

My premia says its conected and so dose my computer but no apps work with the internet access. can some one try this and let me know if you get it to work?

Metro has tethering blocked, as you can tell if you go into settings and hit [more] [tetheringand hotspot]. this applies to either direction, according to the rep at Metro.

Ah I was wondering what the hell was up with that. Can you unblock it. I remember PDA net was able to mask normal tethering do you no if there is posably something simaller I can do or what about flashing to T mobile or something whould that work. or is it an unchangable thing that cant be unlocked with skill?

PDANet ddoesn't work. Klink does to tether, but not reverse. Can't flash it to t-mo, it's a CDMA phone. In other words, can't do it.

Flash a custom Rom, tethering works fine. Even with the baked in app on stock76.

i tried with 3 different custom roms now im using darksidbound. I dont have any phone service on my priema, thats why im tring to revers tether. are u talking about with or without service?

Without. Could not make it work. It's a Metro thing.
That's why PDANet doesn't work (with service).
The reverse tether app states you have to go thru settings, and this is what metro blocks without the extra $10 a month.
Paid the bill, got on unlimited plan ($60) and paid for klink. Now I tether my internet thru phone, about 30 gig/month just to spite Metro. i know it doesn't help your situation, but that's all we have until we get a ROM not based on Huawei-Metro stock. And all of these are until we get the Kernel. Huawei has released it for every other phone, and has stated they didn't do this phone's software. Which leads back to the Evil Empire (Metro).

And keep in mind that Metro, now part of T-Mobile, is now primarily a GSM network with LTE. Our phones are CDMA with LTE. They're not going to support a phone they want to phase out. We got our phones for a fantastic price. It got me on Android finally. BUt I've accepted that it's future is very limited, especially in customization. I think I see a Nexus or Xperia in the near future...

Thank you the help is greatly appreciated. I am still a biginer with rooting and moding droids. I tough myself with youtube and what Ive found on android fourm. I think Im getting the hang of it though. In any case If I were to pay the bill for a month then set a recovery point with cogworkmod do you think I will still be able to reverse tether after the plan expires?

I've rooted my premia stock everything even the recovery and if I download barnacle wifi teather and turn it on then go into my settings right after I turn it on, it is unlocked, I no longer have to use any app. Hope this helps. P.S. I have to select it for it to be permanent.
Also you have to set your chrome browser on your pc to run as if it where either android or linux other wise all you get is youtube and facebook.
