Temporary Case for Note 3

Two quick questions...the wife just bought a Note 3.
1. What is a good cheap temporary case to buy for it?
2. Best long term case to buy? I tend to like the Otterbox but they are not available yet and I have not had any other brands?

The sedio surface case is really good case For the note 3 not bulky at all.

I'm rocking this until the good stuff comes out. It's super thin (This is the most thin case I've ever used. It adds almost zero thickness to the phone) has excellent grip and looks and feels more premium than a gel case. I ordered through Amazon Prime free 2 day but received it next day. I was just ordering something to slap on my phone for the moment.... but I'm surprised by how much I like it.

I bought that one, my only concern is that it doesn't protect the camera lens.

Those look better than the original S- view case. It will interesting to read some reviews on them, once they are available.

I'm getting a neoprene pouch by Shocksock, there are none for the Note 3 (and I think Shocksock have gone bankrupt, so I bought on ebay) but since it's the same size as the Note 2 that one will fit fine. Neoprene doesn't scratch (it's also about 6.5mm thick), and by inserting the phone upwards into the pouch then that leaves the newly placed speaker in a good position to be heard through the gaps at the side of the velcro flap

Paid about 7 quid

Might be a good short term for you/your wife, but it'll be long term for me.

I purchased two belt clip cases the day I ordered my Note 3 just so I would have something to carry it in.

This one was $18.99 and looked really nice

Black Hard Case Cover Belt Clip Holster for Samsung Galaxy Note III 3 Phone | eBay

...but I like it the least because my Note 3 slides in it very easily. I am going to purchase some stick on felt and put on the face plate of the carrier and that should help that problem.

This one was only $10.95 and I really like it. It fits my Note 3 like my old Active Seidio case on my Nexus and no sliding at all.

I bought Amazon.com: Caseology Slim Fit Premium Matte PU Leather Hybrid TPU Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (White): Cell Phones & Accessories for 99 cents (came to 3.50 after shipping)

Figured even if its the crappiest case, it should last until I find a deal on an otterbox or ballastic case
