I just bought a Nexus 7 2013 but the touch sounds are too low for my liking.Can anyone with a Nexus 7 tell me whether the touch sounds on nexus 7 on touching the screen are very loud or not?On my unit they are so low that I can hear them but just barely.I already tried Audio Manager and turning volume and other alerts to max but the touch sound is s till low.Is it supposed to be low or is my device defective?Thanks

does it play music loud and clear? if yes its probably fine. It's not supposed to be loud. The only sound I have is locking and unlocking sound. I'm not sure why would it bother you unless you want everyone around you to feel an earthquake whenever you type.

I am not sure if it was my phone or the Nexus 7 that I realized I could adjust the volume of the click... but I forget how I did it. My Nexus is at home, and I will see if I can remember how tonight.
It is definitely not a defective speaker unless other sounds are too low also... it would be a software or setting issue.
However, I am with unnamedny... I turn off the click sounds whenever possible. But, different personal preferences are why we have all of those setting options available to us.

I just checked, and mine is quiet.
I did dig around and the way I remembered to make it louder was on my LG Optimus G, which does have a separate volume control for "Touch feedback & system" so it can be set on some devices... the Nexus 7 doesn't seem to be one of them.

One last thing please could you check whether you can hear the background music in Temple Run 2 /coz its hardly audible on mine at max volume.Thanks

There are separate volume controls for media and notifications. As you use the volume rocker you'll see a settings icon to the right of the bar. Tap that and you'll see the two separate controls.

Already tried that!Background music in temple run 2 is too low.In some games the volume is ok like rail rush but in TR2 its low so just wanted to confirm whether its my speakers or a general problem with all nexus!

When you turn the volume up and down with the buttons on the side have you clicked the settings tab on far right and making sure both sliders are turned up ?

One has an ! And the other a speaker icon - you can also toggle which one the volume buttons on the side turns up and down too
