Hi

i connected my chromecast to my samsung monitor with adapter
hdmi to dvi 24+5

its work for 1-2 minutes and after the sync is gone and i saw a snow on the screen .

when i put it off and connected it again same problem ( 2-3 minutes work and after snow)

with my tv work perfect what is the problem with the sync
how can solve it ?

What is that adapter? Is it just a cable adapter? Or an active converter box?

You may have trouble with audio since DVI doesn't support audio, so you will need to pull that off of the HDMI signal somehow. Either a home theater receiver or an audio extractor or an active HDMI to DVI converter box that includes an audio out.

DVI comes in three flavors - DVI-D (digital), DVI-A (analog) and DVI-I (both) and digital come as single and dual link.

HDMI to DVI conversion is strictly digital single link.

DVI 24x5 is just another name for DVI-I. It's not an adapter-cable description.

Some Samsung monitors include HDCP - and some don't.

High-bandwidth digital content protection - HDCP.

Chromecast requires it on the TV.

Typical converter boxes that provide analog audio and DVI-D dont' strip HDCP - otherwise, what would be the point?

Aside from pro video gear that costs more than a new TV, I know of no way to strip HDCP, and I haven't seen that gear for a LOT of years anyway.

Nice monitor. :)

Ok, so HDCP isn't the problem and unless the adapter itself is defective then it's not the problem either.

Check out "Wifi Analyzer"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer

I assume that maybe you're maybe tab casting from your pc because you don't care about sound.

So, give it a try while watching your network with Wifi Analyzer on your phone or tablet.

See if you have any network glitches happening - go to the page showing your network channel vs signal, see if the signal is going up/down or if you have neighbors on the same channel.

Let's start there.

If you have another adapter to try, give it a shot. If there's a cold solder joint inside the adapter, it could get intermittent after a little bit of use.
