Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

Ok, I did find them, they are in the Amazon MP3 folder. As for not picking up my ringtones, rocketplayer only has the option to scan the sd card or internal storage, which it still picks up my ringtones. Poweramp allows me to instruct it to scan only a particular folder, which does work. Thanks

AH HAH!!! I knew you'd find them. Figures they'd be in the Amazon folder. Probably everything you DL from Amazon goes to that folder.

Good news about PowerAmp. I use PlayerPro and mine don't show up at all. :D

I'm trying to pin point that... First don't let it search for WiFi when you're not using it.... After the keyboard fix. I'll post a how to about battery life when I get a minute. I'm at 19 hours now with 16%. stock battery.

It's probably a bug let me know if it gets better I ended up switching back to beanstalk really stable I get great battery life and I also use bluetooth a lot and the battery doesn't drain as much made it yesterday 12 almost 13 hrs until it dropped to 5%

Also I was flashing roms with twrp and I started having issues I would go to factory wipe and I would at first just get errors saying it couldn't find the correct path to wipe I ignored it twrp is buggy then it got worse, it would freeze anytime I went to factory wipe and just reboot. Also if I flashed certain 4.4 roms it would keep the gapps which is strange so I switched to phillz I'm still getting use to it but it's pretty cool.

I was having trouble with TWRP when I first got this phone and I switch to philz and haven't had any problems since:)

I should have switched a while ago but I was so use to twrp and didn't want to loose my backups but I see in Phillz I can restore my twrp backups really liking Phillz

It is pretty cool! Just like the CWM on the prevail but tweaked out. I have Twrp on one of the old prevails that is a mp3 player and like it, so when I got this phone I was like cool! Now using Philz is way cool!

I use Philz and love it. I couldn't flash the zip the first time I tried to load it, had to Odin the tar. Updates flash perfectly.

As for AOSB, battery life has gotten better. Much better. Seems it needed to settle in, rebuild Dalvik, etc. The screen was a killer while setting it up, but under normal use the screen isn't killing it. I unchecked the settings in the keyboard to show the next word while typing, etc and that really helped battery. As far as the ROM goes, it's fast and smooth. Lots of customization. Got my first OTA update notice today. I really like it. New DD. No more restarts, since the very beginning while installing apps... I think it's ready to add to the OP! I've been adding in features one by one and have had no issues. Very solid.

I will ask the dev if I can mirror a version for Boost with the asserts removed, etc and maybe include the correct APNs...

I've been running SlimKat for a couple days now. It is really smooth. LTE works, no lag, no reboots. It moves quick too.

I'm going to have to back this one. I flashed the newest sprint weekly and have had zero problems. 3g, MMS, camera all work fine from the first Boot. I haven't been to an area with 4g yet to test that but if it works this one is a keeper for me!

I have a few questions that I'm hoping you guys can help. On my internal memory, I only have less than 2gb left. I really don't have a whole lot installed. In ES file Explorer, under Storage, I have 3 folders, emulated, ext SD, and sd00 (which is my internal storage). In emulated there are 2 folders, 0 and legacy. It looks like these 2 folder have the same contents, which is also the same as sd00. The 0, legacy, and my original internal storage (sd00) are the exact same size, 5.8 gb. Is the emulated folder that has the 0 and the legacy folders duplicates of my internal storage? If so, can they be deleted? Thanks

Welp, here's what's up bro. Some of these ROMS are throwing extra data into your internal storage.

You need to do this -

1) Backup internal data to your computer.
2) Boot into recovery and wipe your internal storage.
3) Boot back up and choose what you want to restore to your phone from the files you saved on your pc. SIMPLE! :D

Don't feel bad bro. Quite a few people have been having that issue with the newer ROMs. I had to do it too. I even went as far as backing up and saving my SD card to my pc and them wiping it too.

I don't know if this has been posted here yet, but here are a bunch of boot splash screens.

Ktoonsez Kernel already supports them and I think that DKP does now also, or will very soon.

Splash Screens, Over 250 & Growing- Custom Work Upon Request - xda-developers

+1! I posted on the VM side about this but forgot about mentioning it over here on the Boost side. The request for the Broncos ones was from me, @balcoresbane did an amazing job with those and all the other ones he has posted. Well worth checking out! You will need to delete the asserts, just like for a ROM zip file, just FYI. It is mentioned in the OP of that thread as well.

Thanks for the info. Everything thing is backed up to my PC and I wouldn't mind doing some housecleaning myself. I wasn't 100% sure of the procedure for wiping the internal in philz recovery, so a point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

You know, that's a damn good question. I know how to with TWRP but not with Philz.

Someone had mentioned how to do it with PHILZ in here but I don't remember where it's at. Give me a bit and I'll see if I can find out.

Maybe someone will chime in who already knows how to do it. If not, I'll be back with an answer.

Pretty sure it's one of the Format options under Mounts and Storage, I want to say it is the next to last option, Format /data and /data/media (/sdcard). Not 100% positive though.
