Root [Virgin Mobile] Radios for virgin mobile s3's

So I have looked and looked through the threads and havent found any pertinent info on this and decided to create a new thread. So here is my questions and such.:
Years ago I had an old Sprint HTC Hero 200 that was rooted and had flashed different roms and such. I remember also flashing a verizon radio to this sprint phone and it gave me much better reception and coverage area as it was supposed to run off of verizon towers instead of the shitty sprint towers. Heres my question (wait for it): Is this possible with virgin mobile s3's? Virgin Mobile is based off of Sprint and Im wondering if theres a way we could get better coverage or reception by running off those verizon towers once again with a sprint or virgin mobile phone. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Im running on stock 4.3 knoxed-up rooted with knox apps removed.
P.S. Or would using verizon prl's be possible or a better option for our s3's?

I have always been under the impression that PRL changes do nothing or that any gains were gains in user perception, not actual hardware reception. If it were that easy to get awesome service, wouldn't PRL updating be something that happens first and foremost with custom mods?

Not sure to be honest man. Im just looking for insight. Some sites say that the prl just tells the phone what towers to connect to first. So would connecting to those verizon towers over sprint be beneficial? Even if connects to a verizon tower first, couldn't it theoretically connect to a sprint tower later? Any help with this is appreciated by anybody.

I am sure Sprint and Verizon use different connection protocols, so I really don't think using Verizon towers is possible. At least, I would think they have different protocols to keep customers from other service providers from sapping their bandwidth.

The way I've been led to believe it is the prl has to do with data as well as your towers, sounds like what your speaking on didn't actually change ur prl or system but instead added the ability for you to basically use non sprint towers as giant antennas lol which would be pretty sweet

Thanks man! Ill take a look at these. I've been looking for the latest prl's and baseband and modems as im now on the MK5 stock rooted S3. Just want make sure I have the latest stuff so I dont f*** my phone. I may go over to Android 4.4 first before I try any of this, dont wanna screw my factory rooted ROM. Anybody know the latest Verizon prl as of this year or for March? Im thinking about flashing a Verizon prl to this virgin mobile junk and hopefully getting some better signal. I know the prl im running right now is 33030. I tried the ##3282# and got into the settings. In order to edit the settings it wanted me to enter my msl. I tried 000000 like I used to with verizon phones by it didn't work. I tried msl reader app and also had no prevail. If anybody knows how i could also get my msl short of calling virgin mobile, let me know plz.

I will man. I found those links if you read sooner in the thread that explains how to do it but not sure if it will work with these phones. It used to work on sprint HTC hero's.

If anybody knows any of the Verizon prl's from the S3 I'll give em a flash and see how they do and give you guys an update on this. I'm just trying to find some Verizon Prl's first.
