Help Playing Video Causes Rush to reboot

I have a samsung rush, i just activated it everything seemed fine. untill i wnet to youtube. as soon as it is done bufffering and the video starts to play it reboots. i thought it might just be youtube so i tried other videos, same thing. Bsicaly any video i try to play cause the phone to power off and reboot. everything is stock on it. if someone could tell me what the problem might be or point me in the right direction i would appretiate it, im trying to get this working for my dad and he needs video capabilities. i know a fair amount about android so i could probably fix it, if its not a hardware problem.

If you just bought it I would suggest you just take it back and exchange it.

well yea i would do that, except i bought it from an individual. and those sales are final i have no one to return it to ya know. wish i could just simply return it. i wouldn't have made this thread asking this question if that were an option. so i was hopinh i could fix it, because the phone works fine in all other respects except video.

Could it be a bad battery, i did notice that iit felt quite warm in my hand, like maybe the battery was hot?

Could it be a simple software problem, wherein maybe reinstall stock android, or even a custom ROM may fix the issue.

Or is it a hardware problem, where in there's nothing i can do about it...

if it's not a hardware issue, a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

all you need to do is find a stock rom in these forums and flash it via clockworkmod recovery. hopefully the video will work. if you have cwm installed just look in the all things root guide and go to the stock rom. install it and everything should be as if you bought it fresh. also if that doesnt work just go into the play store afterwards and just download a third party video player. it should work then.

ok i will do that, i dont have CWM on this one yet, but i can put it on there and then just put the stock 4.1.2 rom back on it. like i said im doing this for my dad and he wont want any custom roms, thats why i didnt allready put one on here to see if that would work. I didnt know you could download stock roms from here, in the past i have had trouble finding stock roms with no tampering or any sort.

the stock rom didnt install, it just set on a black screen fore well over 10 minutes after the samsung logo. i flashed the stock deodexed rom and it booted up, but then i couldnt get service activated on it, or well i finaly got it to make calls, but couldnt get any data connection 3g or wifi. dont know what i am doing wrong, this thing has gone from bad to worse, and im tried of getting my ass chewed

allso when i flash the stock rom then reboot i get the samsung logo, then a yellow triangle apears for a second. then just a black screen. i left it on the black screen for around 10 minutes before i decided somthing was wrong.
