Having a problem with a samsung gt-s6310N with the 3G. The phone will not work with 3G just with edge, tried the Sim in another phone and the 3G works fine, tried another 3G active sim in the samsung gt-s6310N and it still doesn't work. It is on Android V 4.1.2.

The carrier is Telcel, and the phone was bought in the UK from tesco and network unlocked to work world wide.

Been on network mode and only get choices of

GSM/WCDMA(Auto mode)
GSM only
WCDMA only

Also checked all the internet carrier setting from telcel and all appears to be right.

Please Help,

Many Thanks,

James

Are you sure that Telcel uses 900/2100 for 3G? (That's what the phone uses.) (Telcel operates in many countries, so there's no way for us to check without knowing the country you're in.)

A "world wide unlocked" phone just means that the phone will accept any SIM (unlocked) from any region (world wide). It doesn't mean that it will work with any particular carrier in any region. It's up to the uset to ascertain that the phone will work with the intended carrier.
