microphone problem sony xperia sp

Hi...........Newbie here, can anyone help

I have just got a sony xperia sp 4 weeks ago............and since last monday have had a problem....as in when i make or receive calls the other person cannot hear me, i hear them no problem, if i put it on loud speaker they can hear me slightly better but it is still muffled.

I had the same problem. What seems to have fixed it is using a can of compressed air and blowing out where the bottom mic is, where that mesh area is. Aimed the little plastic tube right into where the openings are in the mesh and sprayed.

However, what may have *actually* done the trick, ironically, is that I also put the air nozzle down inside the earphone jack and shot air down into that. I wouldn't be surprised if that pressure from air into the earphone jack makes its way down into the phone and gets to the mic down below. Whatever, it did.. That seems to work.
