Sometimes Tiger & Newegg will run a "$0" shipping offer for purchases over a certain amount. Honestly though, I would pay a little extra for piece of mind in knowing that I'm not getting sold junk, or that my new device will power on correctly, and if I have to return it, they will honor my return. EBay can have great deals, but there is a bigger chance at finding a bad one. From Tiger Direct, you can also find "open box" deals. They are a sort of "game of chance" though. If you buy an open box item, you may get an item that was just opened and works great. Since they are usually covered under limited warranty, but not all of the time, they have a little bit of a safety net. "Refurbished" items can be a good deal as well, but most are "as-is" with limited manufacturers warranties, which aren't much. Usually between 30 and 90 days.
