Are you in the US, and is it a carrier version phone you've got there? That's the only reasons I can think why the number of connected devices might be limited to one. I'm sure for many users, one tethered device at a time is enough, e.g. a laptop or a tablet.

BTW I note you got the security set to OPEN, i.e. no password and not encrypted. You might want to change that to WPA encrypted with a password, to stop any undesirables connecting, and possibly spying on you.
