Please can anyone help.

I have disabled the leds on the phone itself via the option the phone provides, it specifically asks if one wants to let the led turn off when the screen goes blank when charging the phone and i ticked that option, but the red led still stays on when i charge the phone when the phone is powered off and plugged into the original phones wall charger, i am a very light sleeper and the red light bothers me at night, is there a firmware update that would fix it or am i doing something wrong ?

I backed up everything via kies and did a factory reset, it still does the same, it is a GT i9500 phone

i have unticked the option that says:

"the red LED lights up when you charge your device while the screen is off"

i also selected blocking mode to on with all ticks selected in there,

All about my fone:

gti9500 android 4.2.2

baseband i9500xxubmg9

kernel version 3.4.5-1083225 se.infra@R0302-09#1

BUILD NR JDQ39.I9500XXUBMH1

SELinux status

permissive

I certainly do and will not be turning the fone over each night, it's like using a band aid to fix a broken spoon, clearly you don't seem to have any respect looking at the non-nonsensical answer you just gave.

So to anyone else please i looked at every forum and though to myself i would find an answer here for this seems to be one of the very best forums, surely i have not been the only one having this problem ? the fact is that the phone has an option to switch it off, then why does it not work ? i don't believe that there is no way it can be done for the option is there.

Well, Sport, my advice to you was EXACTLY what I do at night so I don't have to be bothered by any LED light notices, and I can avoid changing the notice settings for day, then night, then day, etc. Sometimes the simplest solution makes the most sense. However, press on with your quest - I wish you the best.
