Help Camera Rotation Issue

Hello ,

Ok when using the Factory standard Camera app , the camera application initially appears to rotate correctly , showing an arrow with 'top' text indicating the top of the image to be taking irrespective of the orientation of the phone . Also according to the gallery app and Windows photo viewer , This images taken appear be showing the gravity side down irrelevant of how the phone is held

Now here is the strange part if I upload any of these images taken to the internet , the images are shown to be rotated .

I tested this via email , Gumtree ,ebay and Facebook , all of these browser based services interprets the image as being rotated either 90 degrees of sometimes 180 degrees

Edit : exception Gmail interprets the images as they should be ( gravity side down )

I wondered if I was the only person experiencing this issue here with the C811 , or perhaps it is just me ? ]

I then done some digging around and found Samsung Galaxy 3 and 4 owners with this exact problem, this has merely been brushed off as an Android bug with no real explanation or fix
http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s3/588960-vertical-photos-rotating-horizontal-orientation.html

Can someone confirm these findings with their own C811 ?

I have tried third party camera apps , which all initially appear to work ok , though only to find same problem once uploaded

Bear in mind this phone once was a C201-L . I have uploaded newest offical C811 4.1.2 Jelly bean with latest Baseband M050

Mine is M070

A little off topic but ; I wonder how different baseband affects the phone , and the their purpose ? What I do know is that the update to M050 was the latest and meade the camera work to an extent , over Baseband 410

I guess this doesn't help much if you're trying to replicate the problem. Sorry.

Interesting reply none-the-less !
Mine is a US C811.

It still frustrates me that they do not sell this phone in Europe , where's the logic ?

I have the same issue. Photos I take are in their proper orientation on the phone but when I transfer them to my Windows Vista machine, the Windows image preview application will show many of them in the wrong orientation. I've gotten in the habit of just rotating and saving them into the correct orientation in Windows. I haven't really tested them in any other applications.

Here's some science on whats happening:
