My Droid Maxx is running system 23.3.24 and I looked at my battery usage today and saw that Wifi was using 14% of my battery but I have not turned my Wifi on at all. Is this a bug or is there a setting that I can change?

Settings, wifi. Tap the menu icon on the bottom right, tap advanced. Is "scanning always available" checked? See if turning that off helps.

That option allows location services to turn on the wifi radio and try to determine location based on triangulation.

Hey thank you. I have turned off this setting. Now lets see if that will increase my battery life. Got anymore advise?

I read this on another forum and, so far, it does seem to reduce battery life.

Settings / apps. Slide to All and scroll down to and tap MotoCare. When that screen refreshes, tap "clear data" and then "force stop". You have to do this after every time the phone restarts, but I've seen MotoCare show up in my battery usage list sometimes, I have no idea what it does, I don't have a Motorola ID on my phone and I don't want to use Motorola's version of the Android Device Manager, so I think I'm not getting anything out of MotoCare at all.
