Hello Android gurus I need your help.

I am computer savvy but just learning about Android phones.

HTC Incredible 2 Verizon vivow.

I followed this guide (look for: Reported working on red letters”)

http://androidforums.com/threads/gu...-firmware-build-6-01-605-05-and-newer.592064/

Downgraded from v 2.3.4 to v 2.3.3 and flashed ROM RUU_Vivo_W_Gingerbread_S_VERIZON_WWE_2.18.605.3_Radio_1.09.01.0622_NV_VZW1.92_release_199487_si.zip and gained S-OFF with Revolutionary. However my phone went into a boot loop after. I tried different ROMs and not luck. I spent many, many hours researching for a solution but not luck.

Then I found this link how to do a full wipe, the correct way so I did.

http://checkrom.com/threads/full-wipe-the-correct-way.432/

Now I can’t flash a new ROM. I am getting all kind of errors either with Clockwork Recovery 6.0.1.1 or TWRP 2.6.3.0. Updating partition details… E:Unable to mount ‘/sdcard’ -- -“Updating partition details… E: Unable to mount ‘/sd-ext’---etc

I cannot partition sdcard. E:Unable to mount ‘/sdcard--- E:Unable to mount storage

I removed external card and used a USB adapter on my computers (windows XP-7) and it can’t recognize it.

I have been working to get S-OFF and root for days now and my phone is not working. I screwed up somewhere in the process I guess and I about to give up. Please Help!

What is working: HBOOT.

What doesn’t work: If I press the start button a white screen comes up with the HTC logo in green and it hangs in there. I can’t use ADB since my phone won’t fully boot.

Sad, how little traffic this forum gets anymore. Did you ever get this straightened out? I recall getting a bootloop like that too. I kept trying the ADB, and catching the right point in the boot cycle would allow me to get into ADB bootloader & fastboot so I could get things sorted. Hope you worked it out.

BSH. I think I was using the wrong ROM from Verizon. Finally I installed Cyanogenmod 7.2 and problem solved. However, I went on a trip to Southamerica and the phone cannot recognize a new working SIM. The HTC Incredible 2 is Global, it should work. Very frustrating.

I've had good luck with CM7 on this device also. Before using a SIM for global GSM use, Verizon has to do something with the device programming, it's not just pop in a SIM & go. I don't know why, but that's the way this device works.
