Is it worth it?

I got the leon basically for free, and then i heard about the gstylo and i was wondering if it was worth it to upgrade.
Dont get me wrong, I like the leon buuuuut...Thoughts?
More storage , more ram , better camera , but the same processor. I think it's a hell of an upgrade. Honestly 1gb just doesn't cut it and it's getting annoying and LG stock is ram consuming.

I'm really happy with my stylo and I think the camera is pretty darn good despite what I hear people saying about it

That's awesome about your stylo! I have one too and my battery life is phenomenal. I have a week now with mine but for some reason my camera isn't really cutting it for me, even if it's "13 MP". But that IS a great picture you took :)

Depends on your unique situation.
I'm tired of tweaking phones, which is necessary on something like a Leon or galaxy Light...plus I need a better camera for depositing checks n coupon scanning.
I personally feel $200 is too much, so the Avant @ half that hits my sweet spot.
Yes, it's decommissioned...but can still be found. NOW...
I just underwent a forced upgrade...stolen phone...but I went for Stylo.
I wanted immediate replacement / not drive around until finding an elusive Avant. Plus I already have an Avant on another carrier, purchased when offered @ $69.

Stylo is good, but not worth the price of two Avants.

But buying a second Avant, to boot at twice original price...
So with no other reasonable phones available I splurged.

In your case I'd recommend looking for an Avant...save your money.

I'm happy with the Stylo, it's lacking almost nothing compared to the top phones
...except for an IR blaster, FM radio, 32gb instead of 16, ditto for 720 res.
$149 would be ideal price point.
Good luck.

well comparing the Avant to Stylo. The Stylo have a lot to offer unlike the Avant.

STYLO
13mp rear + 5mp front camera
720 x 1280 Screen Resolution
5.7" Screen Size
Snapdragon 410 (Cortex-A53)
have Band 12
IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen
Corning Gorilla Glass 3
microSD, up to 128 GB

AVANT
5mp rear + vga front camera
540 x 960 Screen Resolution
4.5" Screen Size
Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7)
Doesn't have Band 12
TFT capacitive touchscreen
Non as far as i know
microSD, up to 64 GB

that's just a few, i'm not against the avant or any other phone but you can clearly tell where the other $100 are implemented

I got the lg stylo and I'm very happy with it expect for the price. I could not get it at the sale price the only problem I'm having with it is now my sd card unmount and mounts by itself repeatedly.

I have both sets:
BOTH do band 12 & whatever size SD you wish to insert + NOT just limited to 64gb.
The obvious rest, we agree on...but may not overcome the price difference "on a practical basis":
Coming from the Leon, Avant's lesser than Stylo cameras and screen will actually be a step up. And the rest of the lesser feature differences may not even be noticeable.
Other stuff like battery life is about even btw.
Then the Stylo, with beefier price and size, instead of making life easier- can become a ball&chain / heavy anchor. Especially when one is frequently on the road & to new destinations. Now one has to "dress for the phone" instead of being able to casually toss in any pocket, even a shirt's. The Stylo demands a cargo pocket with Velcro, or stashing in separate briefcase/laptop bag...this would be the reality in a city with crowded public transport n food outlets.
It's easier to drop, is more of a theft magnet...subconsciously one is more preoccupied...whereas say, an Avant purchased during a promo(which lowered price even more)- if you lose it, ehh...life goes on.

IMHO G Stylo should take the place of the decommissioned ZTE ZMAX / Galaxy Avant price-wise...$99 + included in any 2×1 promo.
Or at least include something( @ its current price)...free insurance, the old
$50 unlimited plan...

At the end of the day, it's a personal call.
I like the Stylo, but I can also do with Avant all the same things...I'm comfortable browsing @4.5 inches, but not 4...

The Zmax wasn't that old before it hit $99 after rebates.
This one will make it there probably.

I ported a number over, so I got the Stylo for $150 - it is way worth it for a budget phablet.

It is what it is, it isn't supposed to be a G3/G4 level phone. I just looks like one.
I personally prefer the LG UI - or UX as it is now called. I just wish it had a built in "Task Manager" like other G2,3,4 phones.
