We all shed this mortal coil at some point or other. While I am saddened by Funky's death, I am grateful that we have learned of it and he didn't just disappear from the internet like so many of my non-physical friends have done.

Thank you @EarlyMon for posting this thread.

Couldn't believe it when I read the heading to this thread! Still can't believe it, a HUGE loss for this community for sure, and even more so for his family. Always had a kind word and some help for anyone on here that was in need of it, and our "language barrier" jokes/misunderstandings were a natural and always a source of laughter for both sides. Sad doesn't do justice to our great loss here at the forums! I still can't believe it, he was such a young vibrant person. My most sincere condolences to his family and the only thing I have to add if someone is passing our thoughts on to his family is that even though we have lost a dear friend, Heaven has gained another Angel now! Rest in Peace dear friend, Vin.

I am truly stunned by the news. Losing such an important and well liked member like funky feels like a punch in the gut. I chatted a lot with him on the forums and he was always willing to help out any member who had an issue. He was everywhere on here and touched so many members. He will be missed greatly, RIP mate.

I have the unhappy task of reporting that our own funkylogik has passed away.

I had the pleasure of talking to him on his first day here.

He was a man of many facets and we're going to be poorer without him.

I don't have the words - I'm already missing him.

I'd like to extend my condolences to his family and friends as well.

A note from Funky's father:
"If people do want to remember Alan, then please donate directly to an animal charity, preferably one concerned with snakes. Remember that Alan lived in Scotland, so SSPCA or maybe Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue."

Don't know if it's against forum rules or just been missed by early, but here's a link for anyone who would like to donate in funkys name, sspca is a great charity (we got our cat from them :) )
