Help Sound not working

I have a Toshiba Thrive AT100 tablet running Android 3.1 that is rooted.

My issue is this: Sound worked fine until today. When I woke up this afternoon all the sound on my tablet was not working. It worked fine yesterday. I have rebooted, all the sliders are all the way up, I have even done a factory reset to non-rooted and the sound still does not work. I re-rooted it and the sound will only play notification sound but only on boot. After full boot-up no sounds work what so ever. The only similar issues I have seen on the forums is notification sound not working but every other sound does.

How can I fix this?

Nothing, [edit]except notification sound [end edit], works with headphones either. The only sound that works is the notification sounds. All other system sounds are not working at all. No sound on video, music, keypress. ONLY notification works and now my sliders are not showing up either.

It's almost like bits and pieces of the OS keep disappearing. That's the best way I can explain it.
