Hi!

I am a big fan of all dark theme, I desktop is entirely black, all the buttons are hidden, and the only thing I miss from my Samsung galaxy S3, was the stock SMS/text messenger that came with android 4.2, and I think android 4.3.

I've included a couple of examples here. What is the closest scene that I can get to match this theme?

I really can't stand the multicolored lollipop cutesy wusty pink popcorn dancing hippo, Disney nightmare themes. I prefer a more commando approach.

Here is the theme I am looking for.
Ideas?

I like the Chomp, but they don't show the actual text window. I'll have to try it.

The Textra makes me feel like I'm trapped in some futuristic remake of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, while overdosing on ketamine.

Thanks!

Whatttttttttttt you don't like Textra? It's like the best messaging app to ever exist, but to each their own I suppose :D

I have been using Textra and liked it enough to buy it today. IMO the best overall SMS app. Android stock app should have more settings to adjust background color and fonts. Seems barely adequate, IMO.

I especially like Textra's message notification format in the status bar.

For some reason mine doesn't have ads and I never paid for it.....

I am considering getting textra.
I SOOOOOO wish that old stock theming was available.
In order to get tat stripped down look, I had to install one dialer, another SMS app, and and extra theme.

problem is, anytime I navigate through all this, it will occasionally revert back to the current lollipop theme, so I never get my simple flow going.

I wish there was a theme that was all black, using all pre 4.1 stock themes, that I could just flash, because i'd gladly root in one second flat for that. (like this one here. so simple and minimal)

Another question: Android firums has never once allowed me to post an image.
I have tried every format know to man, as well as different locations for my Jpegs, like flickr, and picasa.
what gives?
