Android uses the same 'hosts' file system as Windows

I feel compelled to be 'that guy' and play the annoying semantics card -- Android isn't using the same hosts file as Windows, it's Windows that 'borrowed' the hosts file from Unix. Windows does predate Android by well over a couple of decades but Android has always had Unix as its backbone.

Speaking of semantics, is there really any difference between saying "Android uses the same 'hosts' file system as Windows" versus "Windows uses the same 'hosts' file system as Android"? The statement was phrased in the context of the question.

You're welcome! ;)
