The other thing they mentioned is the drones have a 15 mile range. So you'd have to live within 7 miles of a distribution center.

Paradise Valley officials made an unprecedented move by becoming the first city in Arizona to ban drones.

Chicago hasn't instituted a ban but there are now restrictions in place, mostly targeting ignorant consumers from doing stupid things. Commercial ventures that have been adding drones as a part of their businesses (i.e. film/photo firms) are of course voicing their concerns about too much government involvement. Chicago government in action is never boring.

Drones have become so common now my local Walgreens Pharmacy is selling a 4 rotor camera drone. I'll take a picture later this morning and add it to this post.

Why fly a drone when you can fly inside one?
The Chinese drone maker unveiled a high-flying 500 lb. drone, which in theory would also be able to serve as an autonomous transportation vehicle for real humans — at CES on Wednesday. The Ehang 184 is a giant but elegantly designed drone; according to the company, it can transport one person at approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour on a roughly 23-minute trip. It can hold about 100 kg (220 lbs).
