im on metro and i had to tweak the script a little bit then restore the boot img. from one of his older builds to make it work with for me i have one of the older stylo's did you try to download it again maybe it was a bad download. it should work if you have one of the newer stylos

well my metro pcs has a different device model then the t-mobile brand thats why i had to do it. i dont think you have to do that for the t-mobile brand

Hey guys. I recently switched from the Lg Leon to the Stylo. Love this phone. Im currently on Katana Rom, and my carrier is Metro. I of course have root and TWRP. Im having a rather strang issue when trying to flash CM12.1 for this device. In TWRP, I factoru rest and when i go to flash Cm12.1 (ms631) it says my device is hs631. My software version in settings says i am ms63110j. TWRP allows me to flash the tmobile version without error, as well as my gapps, and my phone boots passed the lg screen, but the boot animation is a half screen all blacked out with a pulsating gray black orb. Unfortunately, my phone stays in this odd state until i pull the battery, put it back in, boot back into TWRP rewipe and restore my backup. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Do i have the wrong version of TWRP installed? Am i flashing incorrectly? Also, my Enable OEM Unlock button is checked in Developer Settings. Thanks to all of you in advance. Many great minds in these forums.

Hey so i decided to try out the rom so i booted into recovery wiped data system dalvik cache and the other stuff then flashed this rom and when its done it doesnt boot up sometimes or will have half the screen gone i attached a picture below to show you what i mean.

Both of you have the Stylo with the new screen. So you need to flash what everyone is calling the noob build by bradym512. Are just use the boot.img from his build with the one posted here. You can find his build here.

Well, I feel smart. I just flashed the ROM and GApps through TWRP, and upon boot, it displayed the CyanogenMod logo, a black box below, and wouldnt let me interact with the screen at all via touch. I could use the vol +/- fine, and power, but that was all that worked. Anyone know what went wrong? Also I can't seem to boot into recovery. I used an app to do it every time, and I dont know what the key combo is, and every one I have been able to find does not work.

Can you get the device connected to adb?

Read two posts above you man, your answer is right there.

Button combo for recovery mode is from power off press and hold the volume down and power button until you see the LG logo then quickly let go and press and hold the two again, it'll ask you if you want to reset your phone but ignore that and just say yes twice, then you're in twrp.

No, but we now know what the issue is; Video recording broken is caused by using different color support format (eh.. that's what I heard

)

It's reported that if you download Camera/Video Apps that use their own color format it will (partial) work.

Back up your CM rom, flash the build from this op, back up ONLY the boot partition in TWRP, then restore your current 12/29 backup and restore the boot partition from this build.

Asking in different ways isn't going to get you an answer.
Idk what build you're on but if led is constantly on you can flash this to turn it off.
