Help Is it possible to root samsung s7 edge

hello, please i just a samsung s7 edge champagne gold yesterday and i a looking for a way too root device so that i will be able to run any apps that require a root device before is going to work, please any help?

Depends what version you've got I think. Like of it's a Verizon or Sprint or whatever other US carrier version S7 Edge, then nope, those are currently unrootable.

I would suggest looking in the S7 Edge forum, but all the AF phone and tablet forums seem to have disappeared a few weeks ago.

Look in Settings-About Phone for your model number. Should be something like SM-G935F

I was searching online and i come across this "You will void you warranty if you root your phone, your phone will not be covered under warranty.."

Given that it almost certainly invalidates the warranty, and maybe impossible to root depending on version. I have to ask, do you really need to root this S7 Edge, what are your reasons?

This will erase your phone so be sure to backup anything you need.
You need a Windows computer to do this.
This will give you root access but will not allow you to flash custom ROMs or a recovery. Do not attempt to flash a custom recovery or you could hurt the phone.
You can however use some cool tweaks and Xposed to customize the phone instead.
Make sure that secure boot in Settings > Lock Screen is disabled.

The first is answered in the first post.

The second is easy: no. Once you have rooted a phone you have to do your own updating, either returning to stock to accept updates or using custom ROMs instead. OTA updates on modified phones can have unpredictable results if they install at all.

if root the phone, is like destroying it, i have friend who try and root his phone, he is now blaming him self now and we bought it the same day which is last week.

I would never root my phone, I would like to receive update monthly but not using custom ROMs to update it.
And so far I don't have to root it to install apps.
