Do we have a forum for Android treadmills?

Android on it's back (pining) means they don't have to write out "OUT OF ORDER" or "乱序"

In many ways, I subscribe to the thought that people don't know what they want, until you show it to them.
(Is that a quote from Mr. Jobs?)

True enough, but especially if management is present you must first show them what they've asked for before you can show them what they really wanted. *sigh*

St. Patty's day (1984) was the first date I had with my wife. It's a special day for us, but we've long since stopped going out. Celebrating in is much more fun. ;)

he,s junior in HS ( ok how did that happen?? I'm still 20 in my head)

Wait till he's a daddy (and we *know* how that happens ;) )

Don't feel old, @huh, I've got voices in my head older than 20 :p

I misplaced my key 'fob,' a bluetooth doodad that authorizes the car to start... same result as losing the key. Fortunately, I had predicted this might happen when I bought the car and bought a spare. I just needed a ride to the spare fob to get the car working and then I ordered yet another spare fob... over two hundred bucks, again.

Determined not to let this happen again, I spent seventy bucks on an assortment of Tiles, allowing me to find lost things within a hundred feet.

Too late now, but was that throwing good money after bad?

Good question. I assume they have to have a fob in their hand to un- re-program it.
I don't know. I broke mine (it was my only one) and when they programmed a new one, they said they all had to be present when the programmed the new one in. So I think when my truck was put in the "program mode" it paired with each fob that would work with it. It's probably worth asking the question.

I don't have one, but I wouldn't buy. It's only for short distances, presumably. And if the issue is misplacing keys in the house, then there's a simple low tech solution for that, which costs nothing.
Take the keys from the wife and be the "keeper of the keys"?

We bought tiles for the kids last year at Christmastime. If it works, it's quite clever. Once you set it up and install the app, your device becomes a tile hotspot (theoretically). So say you lose your keys at a restaurant. (obviously you didn't drive) and when you get home you can't figure out where you saw them last. You use the app and register them as lost, assuming you are out of range of your own fob. Then, the next tile user who passes within range of your keys reads the fob and ... i'm not entirely sure what happens next. The tile owner gets notified, or the person who's nearby gets alerted to a lost tile in their area ... or both.
