I put in a random search term. Spectrum. Zeus didn't get me anything.

Sure I've brought this up before, but is there any way to get the AF app to show a complete timeline of all recent posts?

This is what I see in a browser...
AF browser.jpg

And this is the AF app... there's two posts in the above browser screen-shot that are not showing in the AF app, between "Report says Huawei" and "Ring of Fire".

The AF app I've got set to "most recent" and "all" just like the browser, so I should be seeing all posts in it, but I'm not. This the main reason why I'm NOT using the app.

The list apparently shows the 'top 100 devices,' but if you use the search bar you can find pretty much any device. Tap the '+' and it will be added to your list of communities, so you can view it from any device.

Thanks for that.

Wow ... right in front of my nose and I never saw it ... black type on a black background.

Here's a question ... what does Top 100 mean? The most recent Motorola phone in the list is the Moto G first generation launched November 2013.

I'm seeing the same "My Top" list, yeh Motorola Droid in top three, really? Is an absolutely antique Verizon only device of any interest to me in Asia?

EDIT:

In fact there might be a bug here, because when I tap on "Motorola Droid" or something else in that list, the app goes blank white screen for a few seconds, and then dumps back to the "Timeline" default screen.

BTW I've not looked at the app for a while, so I'm just reporting what I've found with the latest beta release.

It is old. Many people do not know it was actually a model and was the first Motorola Droid. There is a Motorola Droid forum that is contently getting incorrect posts like from ...
Motorola Droid Turbo 2
Motorola Droid Bionic
Motorola Droid X

I recommending locking the forum.

Motorola Droid X periodically gets posts meant for ...
Motorola Moto X

The answer to your question ...
"The Motorola Droid forum is as useful in Asia as it is in the rest of the world (including the US)"

Locking it (and not removing it) would make a lot or sense to me.

I never has a Droid ... I started with the Droid X.

This is by design. That being said, I'm not saying it's better the way it is. I will discuss this with @Rob to see if we want to change this. It currently is showing all app and community posts/threads that are currently on your Forums tab. The idea was to only show relevant information to the user.

I will look into this and figure out why. Could be a bug or could just be bad logic not factoring in how old the devices are.

@Phases would need to make this call. Let's see what he thinks.

I haven't investigated to see if it pans out, but my initial theory is that it's looking purely at post/thread count to determine the "top" device forums.

Maybe that could be adjusted to capture the most active device forums in the past 6-12 months rather than in the history of Android Forums?

It's certainly confused me, because I was honestly expecting "most recent" and "all" to mean the same thing, both in a browser and the AF app. What's relevant to me, I want to be able to see all posts that come into AF in one place. One of those posts the AF app didn't show me was for an LG device with "ugly" emoji, I've never had an LG but it's something that I might have been interested in and could have answered.

If it stays like this, and no way around it, it means I will NOT be using the AF app. I do have time in the morning and like to read all posts that came in during the night, especially now that AF is much quieter than it used to be.

When accessing through a browser there is inconsistency also. My pure guess is that that is a spill over into the evolving app.

When listing with a browser if I select Unread/Favorites it lists changes to some of my favorites.

If I address them all and then do a list Most Recent/All there are unread posts identified in forums/channels that are my favorites.

Indeed. This is just regular text spans so I will need to try and recreate this. Mind emailing support from settings and including the data? This will let me know specifics on your device, os, etc. Attached is a screenshot on how it should look. Thanks!
