MXP shutting down when battery reaches 33%

Recently took took the advice of some friends and did a factory reset.
Didn't originally want to do it, due to the awesome level of customization on my phone, (Every thing is invisible all black screen, no icons you just have to know where to touch) but it was driving me crazy.
Did it and now the problem seems to have abated. This by definition would suggest that software is at the heart of the problem, or at least my untrained mind thinks so. Thanks for the help you guys!

I reset my phone over the weekend to see if it would improve, which as far as it shutting down around 20-30% I don't know yet. However, it is now randomly doing a reboot about once per day & my bluetooth connection issues has returned. After the December 2016 update, my bluetooth radio either wouldn't turn on, devices wouldn't connect, or they would be connected but with no audio output; this would require a reboot of the phone to get it to stop but I'd have to do this several times per day. So now this issue is back. I'm ditching this phone later this month, and not sure if I'll return to Motorola.

I would think it most certain to be the battery and it needs to be changed out, if it can. I put my SIM into the phone yesterday to get the Nougat update installed before putting it on ebay. So after the updates and then another reset/wipe, I charged it up to 100% and wanted to see how long it would last with nothing on the phone other than the stock apps, no accounts connected, and wifi connected. I got about 20 hours before the battery was dead.
