Haven't had Maharaja in a long time. If you're looking for something similar, check out Mojo Risin'. From another fantastic Colorado brewery. :)

Thanks, I will give it a try. What really got me on the Maharaja was the alcohol volume, whew.........................tipsy.

I wanna try Pliny the Younger so badly, arghhhhhh.

Since they don't bottle it, we had a friend over night a growler from CA. :)
Was touch and go since he thought it was damaged in transit, but fortunately in good shape.
It's really as amazing as it's talked up to be! Blind Pig is okay, and Elder is fantastic (when fresh!!!). I homebrewed a clone of the latter, and was happy to try it side by side with Elder. While mine was good, it still didn't hold a candle to the original. Hop extract really is key.

Always enjoy Bass Ale, Negro Modelo also good for me. Totally get why price is an issue, but so rarely have one, never thought about it. Hard to imagine paying "event" prices for any beer regardless of how tasty, however.

Childhood beer memory: Out scrambling around in the hills with best friend, we found a six pack (who remembers the brand?) stashed under some bushes! Only one obvious thing to do, when you are 12 years old and score like that.......Throw rocks at them! We got enough splashed on us, to get Mom's attention when we got home.

Okay so now I have become a bit of a Beer Snob...

Personally I will no longer drink Bud, Bud Light, or Miller Lite.

I, have honestly, gotten to the point where I only like to drink Microbrewery beers such as Vienna Lager, DC Brau, etc.

The only 'Macro' brews I really like anymore are Fat Tire, Sam Adams, Yuengling, Smithwicks, and similar.

I have to say that I have by 'spoiled' by Beer Tastings and ordering good beers.

It just got to the point that the common Domestic beers taste crappie.

Okay...that is my two cents.
