Music issue

Whenever I'm listening to music in the background it works. But as soon as I unlocked my phone it paused on its own. It also pauses randomly when I'm using my phone. I tried it with spotify and sound cloud and they both did the same thing. Does anyone have a solution? I've already tried restarting my phone and deleting and redownloading the apps.

What do you expect it do to? If you expect the music to play in the background whilst youre doing other actions on the device, you should make sure background apps are not being killed off. This can occur if you have some aggressive battery saving apps or some aggressive battery saver setting on the phone. If you have too many apps in the background, the device could be killing things to preserve ram.

What app are you using to play music? is this music local to your device or is it streaming ?
What variant /carrier ? Is it the 6gb version or 8gb version? Unlocked? Locked to carrier?

I dont have any issue playing music in the background but i also have my phone setup for high performance mode.

If it helps I started having this issue 3 days ago. I use spotify and soundcloud to stream music. My phone is the 6gb version and my carrier is Verizon. I dont use low power mode, I just keep it on the optimized performance.

i dont know what you mean by "reset all my setting on my phone"--do you mean you did a factory reset?

for example, i just opened up spotify (I use the free service), played a playlist, then minimized the app. I then proceeded to look at email, go on the web browser, sent a text, and scrolled IG--music did not stop playing at all.

also did the same thing with soundcloud (again free version). music did not stop.

to me, it sounds like something is force closing apps. do you have some app that manages battery usage or something that keeps the phone in a low power state? your issues are local to your device and are not a common issue with the phone.
