This was a Sony update. After the Nougat 7.11 twitter died. Now it's back again on Sony. I am not sure of other hand sets.

Help Twitter app no longer works after update

Updated twitter to 7.17.0 today. It's still broken, must log in every time and unable to retrieve tweets. Poor situation that this is still an issue after so long.

After the Sony update for my Sony Z5 Premium, the twitter version 7.17.0 is working well. Once it had got logged out and was worried whether I am back to the trouble, fortunately everything works well. I guess looks like the phone manufacturer should provide a fix for it, not twitter.

Interesting. I lost my phone and insurance replaced it, the new phone is at the same software status as the old but twitter is functioning on this one.

That's strange, also found another strange thing when my twitter wasn't working. I got someone else to login to my device twitter and it worked. But not for my account.

Did you at least login successful once? If yes, I don't know whose issue is this. Get someone else to log in to your device and check. If it works, Re do a factory reset and install twitter

I have been happily using twitter again for about 2 months and yesterday it was broken again. I have done nothing with my phone to cause this malfunction and I don't remember an update. Is this a server problem or.....??

UPDATE----- I did a reset on the phone and now Twitter is working as it should. Such a horrible solution to this problem

Same problem here after upgrading to 7.1.2 on a Sony Xperia X compact. Tried everything as mentioned above to no resolve. Only options remaining is reinstalling the phone which is slightly extreme. Any fixes welcome
Download the latest version of Twitter, for me I downloaded the latest beta version of Twitter and everything works like it should. Not sure what the issue was everything stopped working from one day to another. This was how I resolved my problem.
