OK, you've repeatedly made it very clear you're averse to using cloud-based services but again, how does your personal viewpoint contribute to this thread and the query that was originally posted?
I logged on to google and the drive/photos/gmail are all empty. But my photos are apparantly being backed up by Photos now.
I can't believe that an operating system can let you delete stuff in error so easily with no possibilty of recovery.
Just seems like a major error by those who designed Android.
