Help How do i find out what app is requesting permission?

I have a Posh L520 running Android 6.0 Kernel Version 3.18.19.

In settings, app, I can click on the gear icon and the next menu has "app permissions".

My problem is, occasionally my phone goes psycho and I get the temporary grey notification (that I can not interact with) in the middle of the screen that says "permission denied you can change this in settings > apps" over and over and over again. So often it interferes with my use of the phone for several minutes. This will repeat several times in the next hour or so then finally stop but I haven't a clue what app is causing it.

Can anyone tell me how to find out what app is causing this?

Is there some app that logs denied permission requests?

PS Everything I use the phone for works fine and I do not use it for social or email.

Hmmm, does it matter what you are doing on the device? I mean, can you duplicate it or is it intermittent ?

No, it didn't matter. Anytime I hit the button to wake the screen it would throw the notification at me.

I rebooted the phone and instantly I got the notification for 3 updates from google play. (It's set to notify only)

After reboot (before updating) the issue was solved. Either Play was screwing up or someething was blocking it.

I'd still like an app that logs what things request permissions.

What device are you using?
When you download apps that are built for Android 6.0 and up, you can allow or deny permissions once you start or before using them.

Open the Play Store app .
Go to an app's detail page. To review permissions before installing, scroll to "Developer" and tap Permission details.
Tap Install. Some apps will install right away.

FYI, It's still doing this and ffs, I know how to set permissions. I don't know what app is trying to do something I have not given it permission to do.

Sorry for bumping but my phone is doing this again, so often it's nearly unusable.

I need a way to log what apps are running and wha they are doing.

I figured it out.

I enabled developer mode, then turned on the developer options. From there you can tap "running services" and at least see whats running. I watched it for awhile and saw that "adups.fota" is what's throwing the message.

My ophone has version 4.3 of this app installed which has been confirmed to be spyware. Of course I have removed all permissions from the app but I am unable to remove it because I'm unable to root my phone. Killing the actual process it createdf has stopped the constant non standard notifications for now though.

Help How do i find out what app is requesting permission?
