Can't share images to Snapchat Android Pie

Hey guys, ever since the Pie update, Snapchat doesn't come up on my Direct Share options. In order to share a pic in or screenshot or whatever it is, I'd have to save it in my camera row and for those with lots of stored pics like me, it is a pain to scroll through it

ANybody know how to force snapchat to show up on Direct Share/Smart Share options on Pie? I am not rooted. This is so freaking annoying. Every useless app I don't need to share stuff on shows up except Snapchat

What sort of phone do you have?

Have a Huawei Mate 10 that was updated to Pie a few months ago, and when I use Share in Gallery a list of apps does come up, like WeChat, QQ, Facebook, Email, etc, which are things I do use and might want to share a picture to. I don't use Snapchat though, so don't know if that would come up on Share on this device. But my guess it is that Snapchat does need updating either for Pie compatibility, or more likely something Samsung has done. Especially as Pie has been out for nearly a year now, and Samsung has only just started rolling it out fairly recently.

Also have a Galaxy S7 as a spare phone, which is unlikely to be updated beyond Oreo now.

This is what it looks like

Snapchat just did a rebuild of the android app but I don't know if that's related to this sharing issue.

I just checked on my phone and snapchat does not come up. Many other apps do come up when trying to share.

Thank you. I feel a little sane now knowing its not just me. I tried to see if there is a way to edit the share menu but it looks like you can't.

whatever their support channel is. i dont use the app.

usually issues like this fall on the individual app, not the hardware(phone).

even posting a message on their product page at the app store sometimes gets their attention.

im just saying ,whilst waiting around for random people to respond, if its a time sensitive concern, its also a good idea to reach directly to the dev.. :)

I am also facing the same issue on my Samsung Note 8. If you get some solution for this kindly share with me as well.

Were you able to share to snapchat before? I just got my Note 8 two months ago and don't use snapchat very much.

I just checked my Google Photos app and I am able to share to Snapchat from there.

I cannot share to snapchat in the Samsung Gallery app.

I have the "Piktures" gallery app and I cannot share to snapchat there.

Are you folks who are having these issues rewatching out to the app devs in question? This may not be something the developers can see if someone doesn’t send feedback. If that feature is important to you, it should be worth 5 minutes to send a feedback report. You may end up helping to others who dont yet know they have this issue.

I don't use the share feature for snapchat. I upload directly. I'm just trying to help the OP w/what I'm seeing.

Good idea, though.

Looks like it is back
