Today I started getting calls from my voice mail. At least the phone says that. They claim to be from Microsoft and my IP address has be compromised in several countries. That I need to punch 1 to be connected to a tech. Its not like I can block my own voice mail number to block these calls. And there is no way am I going to punch 1 at all. What can I do about these calls? Thanks.

As you've already surmised, this isn't an issue where you should block your voicemail at all. You need go block the offending phone number from being received so it's then not able to get saved by your voicemail anymore. Your profile indicates you're using Spectrum Mobile, if that's current see here:

So you're suggesting the OP block their own phone number?
It's not their number, it's a spoofing of their voicemail's number--the number THEY call to get their VM. Blocking that number from coming *IN* has no effect on them being able to call it to retrieve their messages.

And, by the way, I recently blocked my own number on my landline. (I wrote about it in some thread around here.) I'd been getting calls spoofing my landline number, on my landline, and blocking it was my solution. I haven't heard from myself since. :D
