Good Afternoon,

New on here, so I apologize if its in the wrong area or anything. So I've had the phone for a bit and recently had it sent off for repair as the charging port went a bit iffy. All is alright now and got it back, but as they have done a reset on my phone, for some reason YouTube is not working. YouTube (and also YT Music) loads for around 2-3 seconds then just closes with no error messages or anything.

I have tried the following:

*Data clear (app)
*Cache clear (app)
*Uninstall then reinstall (app)
*Reinstall Google play services
*Another factory reset

The video shows where I had the YouTube app without the updates but just want to confirm I get the same issue with both the factory and latest software.

I have attached a link for a video of what is happening.

did you do a hard reset? or factory reset? hard reset is done after powering off your device and you use a comboination of volume buttons and the power button. a factory reset is done through the phone's settings.

if you have not done it, i would try a hard reset. if that does not work then i would take it back in to get it fixed.

Hi, thanks for your reply, just been on with the live team at Huawei and they had advised the hard reset which im just doing now. It was the standard reset I did earlier.

After doing the hard reset, YouTube is still not working, but this time it came up with a message saying "YouTube will not play without the latest updates from Google Play Services. Then goto the update it links me to, it updates then I get the same issue again without any errors or anything

have you cleared cache and data for play services as well? if that does not work then i have no clue. i wouold suggest taking it back in and see if a pro can figure it out.

Howdy, Yeah all data and cache has been cleared. I've even opted in for the beta version to see if that did anything. But still nothing worked. Passed all the info on to Huawei to see if there's anything they can do. When I got it back they noted that they did a software upgrade on it.
