S10 plus any good?

Hi, thinking of upgrading to S10 plus from s9plus and would appreciate people who have this phone letting me know if it's worth the jump..

I want phone with large screen, headphone jack and good with Spotify. Don't care about camera

My research has found concerns raised about... Poor signal reception....UK inferior processor.... slower
and battery life not so good

Owners thoughts please

UK user here:

Battery life - at first I thought it was worse than my S8plus; however it settled down and is now better than my older phone,
Signal - no issues for me, although it is carrier dependent,
Processor - sadly the UK variant of Samsung phones do sport the slower processor, however I have had no issues what so ever. This would depend heavily on whether you game or not, I do not.

I do love the phone, much nicer than my S8plus. Feels more premium, is fast, looks great and functions well with great battery life. I stream a lot of content and so far no need to recharge until I hit the sheets at the end of the day.

Possibly some issues:

Some known issues with games like Fortnight and COD,
The ultrasonic finger print scanner is wonderful, however you do need practice to learn where it is and how hard to push. Also you need to scan your finger prints off at a 90' angle as well as straight on due to the fact there is no recess for your finger to slip into which means if your finger is skewed it will not scan. But once these tips are applied it is 90% successful.

I forgot to mention, this is one very slippery phone! Front and back so you need a decent case/cover that will aid keeping the phone from a fall from height!

Yeh, I'm seriously thinking of getting an S10+, maybe early next year from the UK. not China. It seem to tick all the boxes as an upgrade from my current Huawei Mate 10, things like has a headphone jack, expandable storage, no notches or punch-holes. No more Huaweis for me.

Erm, sorry to break it to you @mikedt but the S10 has a single punch hole to the right and the S10Plus has a double hole punch to the right.

They don't get in the way as 99% of apps ignore the extra screen space. However if you use MX Player full screen it will have an effect on your viewing experience to the point that I flip the phone so that the hole punch is at the bottom of the screen.

On the plus side you do get extra screen space and there are some nifty wallpapers and apps to use the hole punch with.

Thanks guys..looks like I am sliding towards the S10 plus..has anyone got any views on sound quality through the the headphone jack ..heard mix reviews

Never tried the headphone socket. I do know you can enable Dolby Atmos while using them, if that's your thing. :cool:
