Internal Storage vs. MicroSD Card

how quickly will 128BG get full before I need to offload to the laptop?

The biggest sized files are from the 8K Videos but they only record to internal storage (as far as we know thus far. If you'll mostly be taking photos then 128GB will serve you just fine. If you'll be going heavy on the videos, you might want to jump up to 256GB. If you'll be doing a balance of both I think you'll be fine with 128GB as well but depending on prices, grab the larger one if it isn't too much of a price bump.

As I haven't taken a lot of massive size pics yet, or video, how quickly will 128BG get full before I need to offload to the laptop?

Had the Pixel 3xl (no SD) and I did run out of space a couple times and have to use the handy 'free up space' option in Google Photos.

I take TONS of pics and videos and I travel a bunch, so it was not odd to have 60-80gb of pics and video.

I just got V30, V60, and V90 cards to test.

The first thing I'm going to test is if the V90 will allow you to record 8K files to it (I'm guessing not but worth a try).

Sadly (and this wasn't on the sales page), the packaging of the V90 card identifies "4K" capabilities which gives me even less hope.

Annnnnnd no dice. Galaxy S20 Ultra won't record 8K videos to the Micro SD card. Internal Storage only. At least not with this UHS-II V90 Lexar Card.

I figured. Would have to use a real camera to even test the capability of SD cards.

Will be interesting to see if you can move 8k files to that card (or the 60) and see if/how well, they play.
