Accessories Note 20 Screen Protectors

Well, I like the silicon protectors on my Note 10+... they're clear but with metallic accents along all the edges. I got one each in black, blue and a really stylish gold for more upscale occasions. I may try that again

I started thinking... with Gorilla Glass 7 on both the front AND back of the Note 20 (including on the camera bump), do we really need screen protectors? Have you looked at Glass 7? It's incredible! I don't think I'm going to put anything on the phone.

I've learned that the camera module (I refuse to call this monster a "bump") is NOT protected by Gorilla Glass 7, nor is the back of the phone. That camera module is just begging to be cracked because just lying the phone down lands it on the camera mountain first. So I have ordered Armorsuit Military Shield full-body protector for it: but since they do not - and will not - manufacture a protective film for the camera module*, I ordered a 9H glass protector for that.

*- Protective film is highly discouraged for use on the camera module, as it will significantly degrade image quality.

Since the Note series started with edge screens, I've had my fair share of experience using screen protectors that are TPU, PET, and glass.

Problems with TPU and PET is that they easily scratch and fades, and over time starts to peel. The TPU flexible soft types that says can heal leaves an imprint of the S Pen.

Most glass protectors only have adhesive to its frames and thus when over time your phone collects dust, or even the phone falling dislodges the protector.

Now I use Whitestone Dome Glass since the Note 9. It is expensive, think around $50 or $65 for a 2pack but it's been worth it so far. Clarity is excellent and never popped off. Only thing is scanning fingerprint may not be as accurate without the glass, so takes time to get used to.

Hi Everyone!

My wife and I just received our Note 20 Ultra 5Gs and I had a question.

I have purchased the Whitestone Dome glass screen protectors; I have seen where people say you have to register your finger prints before putting on the protector or just do them after the install? I have read yes and no.

I do not want to use it without a screen protector, even just to set it up. I look forward to hearing any thoughts, ideas, opinions, or input. Thank you for the time and have a great day! Happy Holidays and stay safe!

Respectfully,
George D.
