My Galaxy S10 e has a growing Internal Storage in OTHER category. Cannot delete these. Up to 4 GB now. Does anyone know how to delete these ? I see nowhere to access what files are there and how to delete them. It's growing daily and taking up space.

"Other" is a useless description. It just means "not one of the above", and could be anything, including system data or caches, or files downloaded by one of your apps that don't fit one of the categories.

You could try cleaning some caches and seeing whether this changes. Browser caches can grow very large, so worth starting there.

Yeh, Samsung's "OTHER" thing is really quite useless IMO.

Suggest you try DiskUsage. That will map exactly what's taking up the space, and what folder(s) it's in. And if it's something you don't need, it can probably be deleted.

I had a finger in this pie as well, as Xiaomi"s MIUI has Other and I didn't think mine had got so big.

FYI Disk Usage hasn't been updated since 2017 and doesn't work at all. Shame.

I'll get around to solving my 21gb of Other storage eventually, but I have a 256gb model.

FYI the Disk Usage app works no problems on my Galaxy Note20 Ultra with Android 11. So I think it should run on a Galaxy S10e as well.

Disk Usage shows that WeChat is consuming 10.1 GiB of storage on my phone, which Samsung counts as the rather useless "OTHER".

Thanks. You're right. That looked familiar and I have it on other phones, so I tried again. It had seemed unresponsive. I still got the warning on install, but managed to allow permissions and it's OK.

Like yours, my Storage card is showing as 226gb total and that may account for my Other storage as a quick tally shows the rest adds up. I vaguely remember why it might show 226gb instead of 256 in the way Gb are read perhaps.
I'll look at it again later.:cool:
