I don't have an Evo yet because worst buy decided to **** me on my pre-order, so i wanted to know if the Evo has a Sprint football app. I'm pretty sure they lost the rights to Verizon for the official NFL Live app but did Sprint replace that with there own. I'm a Football fiend if you cant tell.

From what I read you weren't able to watch live games even from the official NFL app, just live audio. But I also wanted to know if there was a way to watch live games on the Evo? Again I'm damn fiend. I don't think my TV has even been turned to anyother channel than the NFL Network or ESPN

Guess I'll throw this question in here too. What is the best sports app in your opinion for Android? I still have an iphone (damn you worst buy) and Sportacular is by far the best in my opinion.

Sprint Football Live is an included app on the EVO 4G.

I could not find any selection to view live games, but then there are no games right now, so who knows. There was a disclaimer screen that I accidentally dismissed by tapping too many times. I saw some network logos on the screen, but I don't know what the text was.

I tried logging out and back in, but the disclaimers do not come up again.

The offerings on this app have you select your favorite team. When you open it after you have told it your favorite team, it has a page of news headlines relating to your team and players.

It has other buttons such as "Play Team Videos", "News & Rumors", 2010 Schedule, Team Alerts, Change your Favorite Team.

There is a ticker running across the bottom that appears to have things like trade reports and injury reports etc.

If you click on the EVO touch button for "menu" there are some sub menus like twitter, and under twitter it has team tweets and player tweets as well as some sports network and journalists tweets.

Hope this helps. I know it doesn't answer your question fully. We'll see in the fall! Gosh, I can't wait. I'm in Waikiki and I have to watch the games at 7 a.m. , but it is my life too.

when sprint had the official nfl app, you could watch thursday night nfl network games only (and they looked like crap).

this new, football app is practically identical to the old one, with the addition of college football. i'm anxious to see if they provide live gameday audio like the official app did. that was my biggest draw; it's hard being a jets fan in new england. no coverage.

i'm curious to see if the sirius/xm app has gameday audio when it starts up. i doubt it, based on the short list of channels they have now, but we'll see.

i use radio time as my streaming radio app; it's great. i've got 660 the fan and 1050 espn ny as favorites. my hope is that, when games start, they don't block broadcasts from streaming online for some reason.

No you won't be able to use radiotime to listen. The NFL prohibits local radio stations from broadcasting the audio over the internet, which is all that radiotime does. You'll get some alternate programming where everyone actually listenting to it OTA will get the game. You can use radiotime to get the pregame, but not the game.
