Does wiping data and cache through rom manager as you install a new rom do the same as the wipe data/factory reset through clockwork mod recovery. The "factory reset" in recovery scares me, so I didn't want to test it.
Solved! Delete .android_secure from your internal memory if you are having the same problem!
With every back up I make with Rom Manager, when I attempt to restore it, I get an error message. It says:
Checking MD5 sums...
MD5 mismatch.
When I go to show log, it says:
Checking MD5...
Is there a way on to upgrade to 4.03 without erasing data and cache? I have rooted and I know I can back everything up and reload, but I would rather not have to do that if possing. Since the OTA update works without erasing the phone, I would imagine it has to be possible to run that update...
I am trying to root my new Galaxy Nexus. I have unlocked the bootloader already. When I try to copy a boot image through fastboot, it fails. In the bottom right corner when I am in the recovery screen it says "fastboot status FAIL Invalid Command" Then why I try to flash anything it says...
The right two soft buttons on my non-rooted droid just stopped responding. The phone still gives that little soft button vibrate that occurs when I push them, but nothing else happens. It doesn't go back to the home screen and nothing comes up when I hit the search button. I have no idea why...
Is there any way to disable the volume control button as it works on the ringer volume? I use locale, but I bump those buttons often enough and turn the ringer off completely.
In my baterry use indicator in settings, my phone says mediaserver used about 40% of my battery life. Another 50% was from the screen. I was playing slacker radio for a few hours and that's only about 3% of my batter use. I tried using taskiller, to see if this would slow down mediaserver...
I'm just saying hi. Picked up the droid for Verizon yesterday and so far I love it. I replaced a blackberry tour with it. It is a huge improvement. The only thing that I haven't figured out yet is if there is something like the blackberry today theme that puts your next calendar appointments...
