    Eris gone from Verizon Website...

    Our HTC Droid Eris... is no longer showing up on Verizon's website. It's still in the support pages, but not in their smartphone "line up" page.:( Anyone know if it's still displayed in stores?

    Root xtrROM2.1

    I am loving root! Settled on xtrROM2.1 for now. Really like this ROM. Anyone else using it? It is blazing fast, w/jit, OC'd (stable for me @ 787MHz) avg 4.7 MFLOPS. It supports LW and Nav and it's 'Sense'-less. Doesn't support apps2sd but at only 74MB, I have 63 DL'd apps (86 MBs)...

    Root ROM sizes

    Didn't realize how much bigger Evil Eris is than Aloysius. 117MB vs 95MB. went to load the apps I had with Aloy. and they didn't all fit. So it's a matter of more memory, or faster ROM?

    No more lock screen... for now.

    I disabled my lock screen. I like just getting to my home screen right away. Used: No Lock | AndroidApplications.com So far no issues with answering or making calls in my pocket [by mistake of couse... (I'm talented, but not that talented :cool:;):p:D)]. Handy little app. Anyone else use it?

    Weather & Toggle Widget: My default weather app and clock.

    Since I'm running Launcher Pro, this replaces Sense's weather app nicley. Very accurate!

    Like many of us, my phone is never far away from me. It's usually on my person or within arms reach. I actually had to use this app when I put my phone on one of our cluttered counters and could not find it...err... see it. (it's clean now) ;^)

    Since most of us have 2.1 in either the leak or OTA version, has anyone tried using a 32G SD card? If so, does the phone read it as 32G and is it stable?

    Ringtone starts low then gets LOUD!

    I posted this in the Eris 2.1 leak bugs and fixes thread, but it was lost and ignored in a "back-n-forth" by two other members.... "For some reason, my ringtones get very loud when receiving a phone call. Regardless of how low I set the volume, it starts at the set volume for a split second...

    Screen brightness app. Find one that works!

    Finally found an app that lets you adjust brightness with one touch. It's called FastBright. Says its only for Cupcake, but works fine on 2.1.
