After installing tweetdeck on my phone I let it run for about a day and a half. However after that short time I noticed my battery was suffering quite badly. So I took a look around my stats and also noticed that in that short time the program had used no less than 74mb of data!!! I rang my...

c:geo ~ go geocaching: A direct hook in to your geocache account

I was relatively new to geocaching and had been using my phone with google maps to input various map co-ords to enable me to get to the rough areas of the caches. Then someone on the forums recommended this App. Its like night and day. The first great feature of this app is the fact it hooks...

NewsRob (Google Reader / RSS): All done in the app

Alot of RSS readers on the market look pretty but when you click on a story take you straight to the web page. That for me defeats the object of the whole google reader concept. News rob doesnt do this. All stories are loaded within news rob itself with cut down layout and graphics enabling...

Unit Converter - ConvertPad: more features than you can shake a stick at

This application will quite literally convert anything. The choices of units for conversion are overwhelming. The interface is set out well, with simple drop down menus and auto conversions done for you. If you need to convert any units this is the app for you.

Falling Ball: A neat time waster

Such a simple premise for a game. Dodge the ever increasing number of balls by running back and forth by tilting your phone. However it really isnt as simple to play it. The varying bounces and speed of the balls make it a very challenging little game. Great for killing a bit of time.

    Smart Keyboard PRO: Nice layout

I tried 4 or 5 keyboards before settling on this. While it may not have the gimmicky approach of swype or slide it it is a very well laid out keyboard thats an all in one package. By that I mean theres no requirement to go off to the market place to find more themes etc. From within the...

Epicurious Recipe App: A must have for cooks no matter what skill level

Im not normally a big fan of these programs as typically they contain overly complex recipes with ingredients that aren't readily available. However this app is brilliant. It has a variety of categories for both food and drink enabling you to browse for what you need without having to wade...

Hi guys I was fiddling around the weekend with a few things and one of the apps I installed was beautiful widgets. I liked the buttons it had with it and the combined clock/weather home but I found the weather side of bit a bit flakey at finding my location(its very US orientated) and the...

    Sticky? Compatible APP listing.

Hello All I was wondering if it'd be useful for us all if we had a sticky thread at the top listing apps we all use that are compatible with the nexus one and a brief description of what they are. I certainly would have found it very useful as I've stumbled across some that didn't work and...
