Root 1 Incredible rooted.. don't get too excited yet

One and only one phone has been rooted.. it was a lucky break that can't be reproduced as of yet.. more details to follow.. irc channel ##incredibleroot to watch the action.. all voices have been muted for now to cut the devs a break with chatter..

Looks like 2 are rooted.. Looking good There might be more.. I can't get a good number..

Edit: You can export your contacts directly to the sd card from Contacts. Contacts>Menu>Import/Export.

At this point it seems a rollback may not be required. Will update if that changes to keep the info current.

use ASTRO File Manager - Android app on AppBrain to back up apps.. under tools (sd card required)
and gmail for contacts

Downgrade is NOT needed for this..
