Help 3G Icon Present But No Internet Access

My 3G icon is on the phone but it keeps that saying I don't have an internet connection. I am at my house, and this has never happened before. I've tried things such as switching to airplane mode and back but to no avail. Help?

Are you using stock ROM or the current custom CM7 release? It was doing this for me with the CM7 release, I'm going back to stock now to see it if helps.

Virgin has been having odd data outages all weekend. I thought I had borked my radio until I checked by bone-stock daughter's Optimus... and it was screwed too. It came back a bit later.
