A cure for the missing volume button...

One of the frequent complaints about the Kindle Fire is the lack of a physical volume control. In my travels on other forums, I came across this app:
Volume control by RubberBigPepper

It's a floating, transparent volume slider that is small, unobtrusive, and very customizable that 'floats' along the edge of the screen. No longer do you have to stop a Youtube video just to change the volume.

Unfortunately, it's not available in the Amazon App Store. Here's a link for it, from the 1mobile market:

I've been using this app for a while and it really is nice on the Kindle Fire.

I actually like it better than a physical control. A physical control is easier to inadvertenly touch, provides mechanical parts to break or wear out, and also provides a place for dust or moisture to get inside the device.
