Hi, i have had android phones for ages, up to now i have never actually rooted my phone and i think its time to :)

I have a samsung galaxy s2 with ics 4.0.3 from orange (branded)

I found a very easy looking guide to root my phone (up to now i just want to root and not put any custom roms on)

the link is: [GUIDE] ROOT/UNROOT Stock ICS Firmware without flashing unsecure kernel - xda-developers

Can anyone tell me, if i root using this very easy looking method, will my phone restart and boot straight into my current branded ics 4 and work without me having to do any more (i wont have to reinstall rom etc)?

can anyone advice please as i do not want to have to reset my phone up.

thanks

james
