I was googling for an app that could read large pdfs (settled on ezPDF) and somehow this paper showed up on the first page of my google results. I'm a CS major so this stuff really tickles my interests, but I think it's also fairly readable and short if anyone else is interested in learning about why Google forked the standard Java Virtual Machine and created the Dalvik Virtual Machine
