An app that allows me to display contacts by nickname?

Hello, i was wondering is there an app for android that allows me to display contacts by nickname, not by name and surname. I would like to install such an app to replace the default contact/phonebook app that comes pre-installed on the phone (I have Xperia E). And also, if I install that app, is there a way for me to remove the default app from my phone? Thanks.

You'd most likely need root, and generally, removing things like the stock dialer, SMS or contacts app will cause more problems than it would sort.
