First for off-topic -

General is a broad thing. We have general forums for apps, games, carriers, and then here.

Second -

You basically can't, this is the future of the web - other forums have become similar. But -

That's not a perfect solution.

Third -

Too many complaints about emailing responses being the default.

Why are there solutions ?

I'll answer:

Solutions exist because problems exist


Problems usually exist because of choices people make (like unilaterally choosing to force the dumb page on people)

You bet.

Email is configured per user - tap your name in the upper right corner, tap Preferences.

It's just that the default is off - you can do several things to modify your settings there.
